App privacy

CreaTake privacy policy.

Updated

This policy covers CreaTake for iPhone and iPad. The app is developed by Stuart Malcolm. For questions about your data, contact hello@stuartmalcolm.uk. This page also covers visits to the CreaTake website and support email.

Your app data and iCloud

Logged serving dates and related settings are stored on your device and can sync through your private iCloud account. These records are used to calculate your streak and estimated saturation. The estimate is not a medical measurement.

No separate CreaTake account is required. iCloud sync uses the Apple Account signed in on your device and Apple’s services.

App usage analytics

CreaTake uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Recorded activity includes screens viewed, serving-log actions and whether they came from the app or a shortcut, sharing actions and purchase activity.

The analytics service also processes app-instance identifiers and device, app and usage information. Purchases and tips are processed by Apple, and purchase events are also recorded in analytics. The app does not collect your payment card details.

The current app does not provide a separate switch for turning off usage analytics. For a privacy enquiry or a request relating to analytics data, email hello@stuartmalcolm.uk.

Siri and Shortcuts

If you choose to use Siri or Shortcuts, Apple processes the information needed to perform the requested action. These features follow the same app access limits as actions made in the app.

Notifications and purchases

Optional reminders are scheduled on your device. You can change reminder preferences in the app and notification permission in your device settings. Apple handles App Store payments, subscription management and restoration.

Retention and deletion

App records are kept on your device and, when sync is available, in your private iCloud storage. Removing the app does not necessarily remove copies held in iCloud or Apple purchase records.

For help with stored app data or to request deletion of data associated with you, email hello@stuartmalcolm.uk. Please describe the data and the app involved. Do not send your Apple Account password or payment information.

Analytics retention is governed by the Google Analytics settings for the app. Contact me for information about retention or a request concerning analytics records; an app-installation identifier may be needed to identify the relevant records.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, or to restrict or object to processing. Contact me to make a request. You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority; in the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Third-party services

Apple and Google operate services internationally. Their privacy and data-processing terms describe how those services handle information and transfers. Relevant information is available from Apple, Firebase and Google.

The CreaTake website

The website does not set cookies or load advertising, third-party analytics or tracking pixels. Its examples run in your browser and do not change your app data. Cloudflare processes technical request information to deliver and secure the public website; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Support email

If you email me about CreaTake, your email address and the details you provide are used to respond and investigate the issue. For enquiries about support correspondence, retention or deletion, email hello@stuartmalcolm.uk.
